It’s nearly Christmas ! It’s starting to get colder outside…
Over a year ago I managed to get a mild case frostbite on my hands , and ever since when the weather get’s cold and wet my hands don’t work as well as they should… So last week I went gloves shopping… and you know what ? I couldn’t find any I liked !
So I made some ! I came across this amazing tutorial by Feathering my Nest and turned an old jumper I loved but had shrunk in the wash into mittens ! Genius !
How cute are these ? Click the photo to visit Feathering My nest and get a copy of their fab tutorial.
While I was mitten creating I made some smaller ones.. and thought I would make a felt version into a garland ( with added glitter of course ! )
You will need :
GLITTER FABRIC
A PRYM VANISHING INK PEN
SEQUINS & TRIMS & RIBBONS
GLITTER THREAD
WHITE FELT
A TEMPLATE ( click here )
It’s super easy ! Draw around your template with your PRYM pen. Sew on your decorations or cut our glitter fabric shapes and glue on. Place a piece of felt underneath and stitch on your sewing machine. Trim close to your stitching , and fold over the top and ta da ! One super festive mitten ! I’ve pegged mine on a snowball trim to hang up in the studio 🙂
